Video of man noshing on crickets goes viral

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — As San Antonio area residents look for ways to handle a recent invasion of crickets one man has decided that if you can’t beat ’em…eat ’em.

An unofficial UTSA Roadrunners fan page called “Meep Meep Nation”, has posted a video on Twitter showing a man grabbing a handful of the crunchy critters…and popping them into his mouth.

The video has been re-tweeted and has been viewed about a half million times.

You can watch it here…. but you’ll probably swear off Raisinets forever.

Dearest Mother,

We are approaching the third day of the cricket plague. What sanity remains is quickly being whittled away. Starving students are now accepting these vile creatures as a source of sustenance. I fear cannibalism is next.
