Walk to School Safely

That’s the goal of an effort by University Hospital as they visit schools across the city encouraging students to practice basic safety tips on their way to or from school.

Jennifer Northway says having your child look both ways before they cross is just the beginning as motorists have a big responsibility too.

She says slowing down and paying attention in school zones, stopping for school busses with flashing red lights and coming to a complete stop at stop signs will go a long way in preventing a tragedy.
