Walmart associates deliver food and supplies to Hurricane Laura evacuees in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Several San Antonio area Walmart associates are helping evacuees who had to leave as Hurricane Laura took aim at their hometowns.

As the evacuees arrived on the city’s East Side, the team from Walmart showed up as well with food, water, even some towels, coolers and canopies.

They handed out the supplies at the AT&T Center.

More than 4,000 evacuees came to San Antonio to seek shelter from the storm.

A majority of them are heading back home today but more are expected to arrive after the hurricane caused heavy damage and in some cases, destroyed their homes.
