Walmart to sell candy made in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio company will soon have it’s products sold at Walmart.

This year, more than 500 businesses and entrepreneurs, including 34 from Texas went Walmart HQ to take part in an event known as “Open Call“.

It’s a process Walmart uses to get more American made products in it’s stores.

When it was all over, San Antonio’s Alamo Candy Company was chosen as a new supplier whose product will be on Walmart shelves.

The family-owned and operated business opened its doors in 1991 and is currently creating over 70 products. Some are sweet, some are sour but they’re all tasty.

You’ll be able to get many of themĀ  at your neighborhood Walmart store very soon.
