What’s Driving America’s Youth to Murder?
Kids killing kids—it’s a nightmare we’re living out on the nightly news. Four Vegas teens beat a classmate to death, grinning as they recorded it for the world to see. A Maryland high school bathroom turns into a murder scene on day one, with a 16-year-old pulling the trigger after ten previous run-ins with the law. And in Florida? A teen who stabbed his own mother after getting a pass on killing his father just two years ago.
What on earth is going on? Why are our kids turning to cold-blooded violence? Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith, retired cop and spokesperson for the National Police Association, has some answers—and believe me, they’re not for the faint of heart. Betsy doesn’t sugarcoat it. She calls out the culture, the lack of accountability, and yes, the policies that let young offenders walk free to do it all over again.
This is the raw, uncomfortable truth we’ve got to face if we’re going to stop this tidal wave of youth violence. Want to understand what’s really going on? Listen to my interview with Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith. We’re talking about how we got here, who’s responsible, and what needs to change before our kids take any more lives.
