Winter Wonderland At Travis Park

It was an announcement that created a LOT of controversy in San Antonio. City officials decided to set up the giant H-E-B Christmas tree at Travis Park instead of in front of the Alamo, as it had been for years.

The idea behind the move was to create what was called a “winter wonderland” at the park. Giving families an opportunity to take part in fun Christmastime activities.

Now the city is ready for you to stop by to see exactly what they meant.

Kelly Saunders called us to talk about what’s planned for the park this Christmas.

Not only is the park decorated with thousands of lights, the H-E-B tree is featured prominently and they have fun activities planned right through Christmas.

Along with photos with Santa and food truck, park visitors can also take in a movie and listen to some of their favorite holiday tunes.

The park will be decorated until January 7th.
