Woman crashes while trying to outrun Castle Hills Police Officer

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A woman who tried to outrun a Castle Hills Police Officer is being held for suspicion of DWI.

The officer was attempting to make a routine traffic stop on Loop 410 near Airport Boulevard at around 3:30 A.M. Tuesday.

The driver pulled over but as the officer approached, she drove off.

She had a bit of a head start on the officer but the chase didn’t last long. She crashed in the turnaround lane at 281 and Airport Boulevard.

The officer suspected the woman was under the influence so she was taken into custody.

One of two passengers in the car with the woman was brought to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The other passenger wasn’t hurt.

The driver’s name hasn’t been released and police continue their investigation.
