Sleeping woman grazed by bullet fired outside San Antonio home

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Police are looking for whoever opened fire at a home on the Northwest side, injuring a woman who was sleeping.

At around 3 A.M. Tuesday, someone drove up to a home in the 900 block of Waverly and started shooting.

A woman who was sleeping on a couch was grazed by a bullet that penetrated a wall. She was checked out at treated by EMS crews at the scene.

A couple sleeping in another room with a baby woke up to find bullet holes just inches above their heads. They were not hurt.

What the family is telling police is that the shooting was likely the result of an altercation a family member was involved in a few weeks ago.

Police have detained one person for questioning and are continuing their investigation.
