Woman killed by hit and run driver in northwest San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are investigating a fatal hit and run on the far northwest side.

At around 4 AM Thursday, a driver struck and killed a 29 year old woman who was working to collect some barrels used to guide traffic through a construction area. She was on 1604 West near West Hausman.

A co-worker witnessed a dark gray-colored SUV, likely a Ford Explorer, hit the woman who was killed by the impact. The SUV was traveling at a typical freeway speed and didn’t stop after hitting the woman. Police say the vehicle likely has extensive damage to its front and right side.
