Woman licks gallon of Blue Bell, then places it back in store freezer

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — There’s a viral video showing a woman licking the top of a gallon of Blue Bell Ice Cream, then placing it back in the store’s freezer.

Blue Bell says they are working with retailers and the Police to locate the store where the incident took place. They’re also hoping to identify the woman.

In the video the woman is seen laughing as she removes the cover from a gallon of Tin Roof ice cream. She takes a lick, then puts the cover back on before returning the ice cream to the freezer.

Blue Bell has released a statement on it’s website:

“We want to thank our consumers for alerting us to the incident this past weekend of a video posted to social media showing a Blue Bell item being tampered with. We take this issue very seriously and are currently working with law enforcement, retail partners and social media platforms. This type of incident will not be tolerated. We will continue to monitor this situation.”

The ice cream in its containers forms a seal by freezing to the lid. You should be able to notice if a lid has been removed or tampered with.
