Woman struck and killed by car on IH-10

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are investigating the death of a woman who was hit by a car in the Westbound lanes of IH-10 early Sunday morning.
It was around 1:30 A.M. when the victim approached a VIA Transit officer who was parked along the access road near Leon Springs.
The woman was nude and incoherent as she spoke to the officer.
He called for backup but while they were waiting for help to arrive, the woman became confrontational.
The officer attempted to restrain her but she ran into the highway and was struck by a driver heading West.
The driver did stop and tried to help but the woman died at the scene.
Her name and age haven’t been released.
No charges will be filed against the driver who hit her.
