Woman walking to bus stop struck and killed by Hummer in Northwest San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – A woman walking to a bus stop in San Antonio’s Northwest Side has been struck and killed by a Hummer.

Police say 61-year-old Terry Ann Rowland was not in a crosswalk when she tried to walk across the 7700 block of Culebra Road around 6 Tuesday morning.

The driver of the Hummer told investigators it was dark and he did not see the woman trying to cross the street. Police say he was not intoxicated.

Rowland was pronounced dead on the scene and the investigation continues.
