SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — One of two adults who helped rescue a pair of children from the swift moving Guadalupe River in Seguin has died and the other is still missing.
According to reports, the children were swimming Sunday afternoon and when they got caught in the current, a man jumped in to rescue them.
He managed to keep the children from being swept down stream but then he began to struggle himself.
That’s when a woman went in the water to try to rescue him.
They both went under the water at around 5 P.M. and they never resurfaced.
The woman’s body was found by divers late Sunday night. She’s been identified as 22 year old Casandra Kendrick.
The search for the man continues. His identity hasn’t been released.
