Worker Rescued From Under Home

A San Antonio foundation repair worker is recovering after being trapped under a Northeast side home.

The man was unconscious when firefighters arrived at the home on Worchester Wood near Judson Road shortly after 8:30 Tuesday morning.

“He had been trapped under the house since last evening,” said Deborah Foster with the San Antonio Fire Department.

Eleven crews responded to the scene and pulled the man to safety. Foster says he was rushed to a hospital as the investigation continues into what caused the man to lose consciousness.

” We’re not sure if he lost consciousness because of the air quality under the home or if there was a hazmat issue,” said Foster.

A Hazmat unit was conducting air quality tests.
