Would-be thieves use front end loader to rip ATM off its foundation

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Two men are in custody after trying to steal an ATM from a Southeast Side Credit Union early Friday, just after midnight.

Police say the would-be thieves in a pickup with a trailer used a front end loader to rip the ATM off its foundation at Security Service Federal Credit Union on Southeast Military Drive.

They dragged it about 30 feet, but were unable to break into the ATM or drive off with it.

The suspects were caught on security cameras and it didn’t take long for San Antonio police to catch up with them.
