Wrong Way Driver Causes Crash

An all too familiar story on San Antonio roads.

A woman faces a drunk driving charge after police said she slammed in to a tow truck–which then collected another car in a late Wednesday Night crash on I-35 near Nogalitos.

“Thankfully, all of the parties involved here were not seriously injured or killed in the accident, because it could have easily happened” Greene told KTSA News.

The crash happened moments after police received several calls about the wrong way driver in southbound lanes of the highway.

“The vehicle he (the tow truck driver) was towing struck the wrong way driver–then, that vehicle went in to the center lane–and struck another vehicle traveling in that lane” Greene said.

The wrong way driver was stopped short time later, and taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Neither of the other drivers were hurt.
