All clear after bomb threat at Stockdale Elementary

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Students at Stockdale Elementary are back on a regular schedule after a bomb threat this morning.

Here’s an updated statement on the Stockdale ISD website from the superintendent.

This is Daniel Fuller, Superintendent of Schools. We have just received the all clear from law enforcement that premises have been searched using a bomb detecting K 9. I thank you all for working with us during this time. Elementary students will be transitioned back to the elementary campus for their day to continue to regular schedule. If parents and guardians choose to pick up their child under this unique circumstance, we ask that you pull into the car pick up line down to the cafeteria doors as we will begin releasing students to parents and guardians at 11:45am. Please be reminded our day is continuing as scheduled. Any students picked up is solely at the discretion of the parent and guardians as school will continue today on regular schedule.

(Previous story)

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Stockdale Elementary has been evacuated because of a bomb threat.  Wilson County News reports there was a threatening phone call around 8 this morning and students, faculty and staff were ordered to evacuate the campus.

Parents are being told they do not need to pick up their children.   Everyone is safe as the investigation continues.  Wilson County Sheriff’s deputies are on the scene.

Stockdale is about 40 miles southeast of San Antonio.

The following is a statement from the superintendent on the Stockdale Independent School District website.

Parents and Guardians,

This is Daniel Fuller, Superintendent of Schools.  I appreciate your patience as you have probably been made aware of a bomb threat that was called in and isolated to our elementary campus.  Moments after receiving the call, we immediately enacted our emergency operations plan and relocated students to another site.  Most importantly all students, faculty, and staff are safe.  At this time, we are working with law enforcement to clear the campus so that students can return.  Due to the situation, we are not currently releasing students from the elementary campus.  Once law enforcement has cleared the building and students have returned to the campus parents at that time can check their children out if they so choose.  We appreciate your patience and willingness to work with us to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.

Daniel Fuller, M.Ed.
Superintendent
Stockdale ISD
