Mascot encounter sets the tone for UT’s win over Georgia

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The meeting of the mascots before the game set the tone for Tuesday night’s Sugar Bowl. Bevo, the University of Texas Longhorn, charged at Georgia’s English bulldog during what was supposed to be a meet-and-greet before the game No one was injured and Bevo was put back in his sideline pen.
Sam Ehlinger ran for three touchdowns as the Longhorns beat the University of Georgia 28-21. Ehlinger ran a 2-yard touchdown in the first quarter, a 9-yard touchdown in the second and a 1-yard score in the fourth.
It was the first 10-win season for the Longhorns since 2009.
