Bus carrying Stone Oak Elementary students involved in accident

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – A school bus carrying Stone Oak Elementary students has been involved in a traffic accident.

The bus was rear-ended around 7 this morning in the Oaks at Sonterra  neighborhood near  Huebner Road and  Blanco Road.

“There were 29 students on board from Stone Oak Elementary School,” said Aubrey Chancellor, spokeswoman for the North East School District. “Fortunately, the bus driver and the students were not injured.”

Another bus went to the scene to pick up the children and transport them to the campus. They were checked out by the school nurse.

The driver of the car that hit the bus was transported to a hospital.
