SAN ANTONIO (KTAS News) — A former Bexar County Sheriff’s narcotics deputy has been arrested on charges of official oppression.

47 year old Ramon Rivera resigned last year. It was discovered that he was subjecting a female informant to unwanted sexual advances. He also pressured her to illegally buy hydrocodone for him.

Rivera was arrested on Monday, two years after the Public Integrity Unit first investigated him.

He was placed on administrative leave in November of 2017 while the investigation was going on but he eventually resigned in April of last year after 11 years with the sheriff’s office.
