Human leg from fatality crash in Boerne found in Cibolo

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are releasing details about a gruesome discovery made by a driver on IH-10 in Cibolo.

KSAT-12 reports the motorist called police March 22, after spotting a human leg in the Eastbound lanes of the highway.

Cibolo Police responded to the scene, even closed down the highway while they investigated.

After calling law enforcement agencies in the area, officers learned of a crash that happened in Boerne that same day.

That’s where a truck driver from Kerrville was hit by another vehicle after pulling over and getting out of his truck.

Police say the truck driver’s leg was lodged onto an 18 wheeler that passed the crash scene, then fell onto the highway, 50 miles away in Cibolo.

The body part was identified before the truck driver was buried.

No charges have been filed in the case.
