Information session scheduled this morning on San Antonio’s Paid Sick Leave ordinance

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – If you have any questions about San Antonio’s new Paid Sick Leave ordinance,which goes into effect in a few weeks, there are three more information sessions scheduled.

One of them is scheduled from 9:30 to 11 this morning at PreK 4 SA at 5230 Eisenhauer Road in the Northeast Side.

“These informational sessions are for employers and employees,” said Paid Sick Leave Program Manager Francisco Campos. “We’ll start out with a powerpoint presentation giving an overview of the city ordinance.”

They’ll also have a panel to answer any questions you may have.

“This applies to all employers that pay employees who work within the city limits of San Antonio,” said Campos.

Even those businesses located outside the city will have to pay sick leave to employees who do work here.

After today, San Antonio Metro Health has scheduled two more  information sessions before the ordinance goes into effect August 1.

Monday, July 22         San Antonio Food Bank     5200 Enrique Barrera Pkwy    2 pm to 3:30 pm
