Man arrested following high speed chase in Southeast Bexar County

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man is in custody after leading Bexar County Deputies on a high speed chase early Friday morning.

It all started at around 12:30 A.M. Friday. Deputies were called to a home in Southeast Bexar County where there was an argument. At some point, shots were fired at the house.

The shooter sped away and was spotted by police in Elmendorf. Officers tried to stop the shooter, but the man kept driving. After running through several stop signs and nearly colliding with a deputy, the man wrecked the vehicle on I-37 near Highway 181.

The man got out of the wrecked car and ran away but he was found a short time later.

His name hasn’t been released but he is facing several charges.
