SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The remains of three bodies have been found inside the Alamo.
The Texas General Land Office and the Alamo Mission Archaeological Advisory Committee say the bodies appear to be those of a teen or young adult, an infant, and an adult.
The bodies were discovered in a monk burial room and nave of the Alamo Church during a recent archaeological project at the shrine of Texas liberty.
The bodies have not been moved, in keeping with a long-standing human remains protocol at the site of the famous 1836 Battle of the Alamo where nearly 200 people died.
Remains previously were discovered at the Alamo in 1989 and 1995.
