SAPD: Man dead after shooting on East Side, search for shooter underway

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News)  — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating a shooting that has left one man dead.

Officers say they got a call from the 2700 block of Lake Crystal Street at around 10 p.m. Monday. It is believed the victim, Robert Reyes-Rincon, 30, had been talking to someone in a car in the street before he was shot in the chest.

Investigators say Reyes-Rincon was able to get inside a house to call for help as the shooter drove off. He was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead just before 11 p.m.

Police are not giving a description of the shooter or the vehicle they were in.

The search for the shooter is underway.
