San Antonio Police: Woman taken to area hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Austin Highway, search for driver underway

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio police are looking for the driver who hit a woman as she crossed a Northeast side street Monday morning.

It happened just before 2:30 a.m. on Austin Highway near Mount Calvary Drive.

Police say the victim was taken to a hospital but there is no word on her condition.

The driver didn’t stop after hitting the woman and at this point police don’t have a description of the vehicle.

Once the driver is located, they’re looking at fines and jail time on charges of failure to stop and render aid.
