Security Guard at San Antonio dance club hit by a truck in the parking lot
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Police have arrested a man who ran down a security guard at a Northeast side dance club.
KSAT-12 is reporting that police were called to Cowboys Dancehall on Northeast Loop 410 just before 2 A.M. Monday.
The security guard was escorting a woman out of the club after she was involved in an altercation. That’s when her boyfriend got into his truck and hit the guard.
The man sped away from the scene but he didn’t get far. He crashed while speeding up Austin Highway which is a short distance from Cowboys.
He and his girlfriend were banged up in the crash and brought to an area hospital.
The security guard is also an officer with the Von Ormy Police Department who was off-duty at the time.
He’s recovering at University Hospital.
No names have been released and police are still investigating to determine what charges the man who hit the security guard will face.
