SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — With another stretch of summer heat in the forecast, it may seem like an odd time to start thinking about a cool autumn adventure.
Cool weather and colorful leaves will be moving in to some parts of Texas before you know it.
So Texas Parks and Wildlife wants you to plan your fall color camping trip now.
Since attendance at state parks can be unpredictable they’re currently taking reservations up to three months in advance of your getaway.
Enjoying the colors of fall means you’re going to have to travel because…we aren’t exactly living in Vermont..so the agency has compiled a list of which state parks have the best views.
They include:
- Daingerfield – East of DFW
- Brazos Bend – South of Houston
- Blanco – Southwest of Austin
- Guadalupe River – North of San Antonio
- Caddo Lake – East of DFW
