SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – If you’re active duty military, a veteran or a military spouse who’s looking for a job, here’s your chance to talk to dozens of employers in San Antonio. Disabled American Veterans and Recruit Military are hosting a job fair here Thursday.

Event director Adam O’Toole says they’re expecting about 60 representatives from various businesses who are ready to hire employees at the event.

“ADP, Lockheed Martin, Lowes, Allstate, Trane –the list goes on and on,” said O’Toole. “It’s designed to help bridge the gap between military servicemen and women who are just getting back, and corporate America who wants to hire them.”

The job fair also is open to those who already have a job, but are interested in changing careers.

“Come dressed to impress and bring a resume. Know which organizations are going to be there and what jobs they’re hiring for,” said O’Toole.

You can get that information at RecruitMilitary.com where you’ll also find nearly 270,000 job openings.

“The website is going to be the best tool to help these folks out when we’re not there in San Antonio,” said O’Toole.

RecruitMilitary also is focusing on more than 600,000 military spouses in the United States who are unemployed and/or underemployed in their professional careers.

The job fair is scheduled from 11 to 3 Thursday, October 10, at San Antonio Shrine Auditorium on Loop 1604 between Stone Oak Parkway and Blanco Road.
