Arrest made in hit and run that killed two San Antonio teens

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio Police have arrested a man suspected of killing two teenagers in a hit and run on the city’s East side.

23 year old Lee Roy Morales is being charged with failure to stop and render aid resulting in death.

The charges stem from a December 16 crash in the 2800 block of Rigsby Avenue.

That’s where two teenagers, 15-year-old Jordan Canedo and 17-year-old James Solis were crossing the street after getting off a bus. They were making their way home when the were hit by a vehicle allegedly driven by Morales.

Investigating officers tracked him down after finding a piece of a car at the scene and determined that it belonged to Morales.

Both teens died as a result of their injuries. Canedo was pronounced dead at the scene while Solis died at the hospital.
