SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — About a month after a man was hit in the head with a cinder block, San Antonio police are announcing the arrest of a suspect.

Investigators say Giovanni Gomez-Dehoyos, 26, also stole the victim’s car November 6 after he forced the victim to drive him around town.

KSAT-TV reports the victim was hit in the neck by a 10 x 10 inch cinder block when Gomez-Dehoyos threw the piece of concrete at him. Police say the victim was later thrown out of his car before Gomez-Dehoyos stole it.

Police records show the victim walked into a store at Walzem Road and Montgomery Drive for help.

Gomez-Dehoyos was arrested Monday.
