WalletHub releases list of Top 10 universities in Texas, one in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — WalletHub is releasing a list of top 10 universities in Texas, and one of them is in San Antonio.

The website analyzed more than 900 higher-education institutions in making its list of top 500 universities in the U.S. It used 7 key metrics in establishing the ranking, including student selectivity, cost and financing, faculty resources, campus safety, campus experience, educational outcomes and career outcomes.

After compiling all of the data used in the report, a top 10 best universities list emerged for Texas.

2. University of Texas – Austin
3. Trinity University
4. Texas A&M
5. University of Dallas
6. Southern Methodist University
7. Southwestern University
8. Austin College
9. LeTourneau University
10. University of Houston

The top three universities in Texas each scored in the top 100 list for the nation:

#7 Rice University (Houston)

#44 University of Texas – Austin

#56 Trinity University (San Antonio)
