City to drain San Antonio River for maintenance, cleaning

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A long stretch of the San Antonio River Walk will be missing one major piece of the river walk experience: the river.
The City of San Antonio will be draining the river between Josephine Street and Nueva Street Monday through next Thursday.
They will not be draining the downtown loop near the river walk-level restaurants and convention center.
The draining is being to allow for maintenance work and cleaning to be done .
