Texas among friendliest states in the USA

SAN ANTONIO (Texas News Radio) — The Texas state motto is “Friendship” and the latest rankings of friendliest states in the nation reflect that motto.

Travel website Big 7 Travel asked its social media audience which state was the friendliest.  Texas ranked fourth overall.

The site said the good ol’ “Howdy!” in big cities and small towns across the state make it easy to find the Lone Star State a welcoming place.

Only Minnesota, Tennessee and South Carolina ranked ahead of Texas.

Four of the five least friendly states were in the northeast, with New York getting the worst result, for fairly obvious reasons.

Arkansas was second-least friendly.  Respondents to the survey said Arkansans were only friendly if you were a fellow Arkansan.
