Whataburger unveils new Breakfast Burger

SAN ANTONIO (Texas News Radio) — Whataburger is out with a new breakfast meal: the Breakfast Burger.

The San Antonio-based company said its Breakfast Burger features a junior burger patty, cheese, hash browns, egg, bacon and creamy pepper sauce.

Whataburger said customers should not have to choose between breakfast and burgers when deciding to start their day.

“Anytime we talk about the Breakfast Burger, people get really, really excited,” said Whataburger Vice President of Marketing and Innovation Rich Scheffler. “This is a hearty creation, and some of our customers said they would drive out of their way to get this. We’re excited to be able to offer a unique item for our fans to enjoy whether they’re fueling up for their day or enjoying a late-night meal.”

The chain and Texas Humor are hosting a live trivia and tasting event at its San Marcos location located on State Highway 130 Monday night between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m.

Whataburger says the Breakfast Burger will only be available for a limited time.
